Paul rencontre Marcy dans un caf la sortie du travail, et obtient son numro de tlphone. Il l'appelle. Elle lui demande de la retrouver et c'est alors que les choses prennent une tournure trange. Paul passera le reste de la nuit essayer de rentrer chez lui. Il affronte des chauffeurs de taxi fous furieux, des femmes mortes (et leur mari barman), des cambrioleurs maladroits, une sculptrice trange, une serveuse instable, un videur condescendant, des foules furieuses conduites par des chauffeurs de camion de glaces...
