Burt Bacharach assure de son ct la partie musicale! De situations absurdes en gags burlesques, nous voici dans un univers qui lorgne davantage du ct des Marx Brothers que de John Le Carr. Les fans du hros de Ian Fleming seront ravis puisque ici tout le monde incarne James Bond! Emaille de clins d'il Scarface ou au Cabinet du docteur Caligari, cette joyeuse farce aux accents psychdliques s'achve dans un final dlirant, mlant cow-boys, Indiens et un Bebel lgionnaire en prime! Ironie de l'histoire: rien de prdestinait ce James Bond au traitement parodique auquel l'a soumis son producteur Charles Fehlman. En effet, celui-ci acheta les droits du roman un Ian Fleming quasi inconnu l'poque, avant que Sean Connery incarne le super agent secret avec le succs que l'on sait. --Sylvain Lefort
